VACATION HOUSE The Vacation House at Travis Pointe is a traditional Southern family lake home set on 6 acres of beautiful, private Lake Norman waterfront. Come home to Travis Pointe and enjoy our eclectic blend of antiques, open water and all the modern conveniences. Our Vacation House features a beautiful new gourmet kitchen, a sophistication that speaks to the well-traveled, and the warm, welcoming feel of Southern hospitality. You will love being here, and so will your kids. The Vacation House has 4 bedrooms, 3+ baths, and sleeps 7-11 guests, depending on dynamics. It includes a large open yard for picnics and water access, and can be rented weekly (Friday to Friday), weekends (Friday to Sunday), or nightly during the week for overnight meeting needs. Luxury linens and bedding are provided. Once you experience the tranquility of sitting on the sun porch, looking out onto miles of Lake Norman’s finest wide water views, you’ll want to come home again to Travis Pointe. EVENT SPACE The Event Space at Travis Pointe is a waterfront outdoor venue for open air and tented events at Lake Norman. The expansive lakefront lawns and towering shade trees offer multiple areas for staging your special event. Use of the Event Space includes the Event House, which will accommodate business meetings, workshops, etc., and can also be used as a dressing area for a bridal party. Any size event can be held here, but groups larger than 150 will require special transportation arrangements due to parking. The Event House at Travis Pointe has a large open area, perfect for a dance floor or meeting room. Seating approximately 70 guests, it is the premier all-weather waterfront venue for company dinners, Christmas parties, wedding receptions and family celebrations. A patio and large deck, both with gorgeous wraparound water views, invite everyone to come outside and share the expanse of Lake Norman. Easy access for all guests, ample parking, two restrooms and a catering kitchen make it easy to plan your event as you desire. Surrounded by shade trees, the Event House overlooks beautifully landscaped lawns that extend to the water’s edge. You and your event planner will enjoy the variety we have to offer, and the setting is second to none. If you are just getting started, we can simplify your event planning with connections to caterers, florists, musicians, DJ’s, photographers, transportation and tent/table/chair providers who are eager to work with you at Travis Pointe. BOAT HOUSE Stroll across the lush landscape, down the long pier, and through the double doors to the shadiest fishing spot on Travis Pointe. Cast your line in one of three boat slips, and you probably won’t have to wait long for a nibble. The fish love to hang out in the Travis Pointe Boat House, too! If you’d rather do your angling in the open, dangle a line on the sunny side of the wraparound verandah until the fish see your shadow, then move into the shade and have another go. If all of that sounds like too much work for you, rest assured that sitting dockside, sunning, watching the waves go by and floating are popular uses of this area, too. You can bring your own boat and put in at our on-site boat ramp, or rent a boat and park it in our Boat House for the week. The Travis Pointe Boat House is set in a deep water cove, ideal for yacht pickup and drop off, and its extended mooring areas are perfect for tying up your pontoon boat, kayaks, canoes, etc. Click here to see photo album |

OUR GROUNDS Travis Pointe is a stunning 6-acre private waterfront venue for vacation rental and special events, located in Mooresville, NC on beautiful Lake Norman. Acres of open lawn, classic Southern lake house architecture, and mature hardwoods surrounded by sunlit waters create a state of unmatched serenity for you to enjoy. We have two distinct spaces, the Event Space, and the Vacation House. They can be rented separately, or used together for a most extraordinary waterfront event. Travis Pointe, with its tranquil natural beauty, huge water views and on-site amenities, is unique among event venues in this area. The long driveway through tall pines ends at the gate to your personal retreat, yet you are only minutes from local conveniences and access to major roadways. Our scenery changes with the seasons, and there is always something beautiful to behold. Early spring brings fragrant gardenias and loads of multicolored hydrangeas, followed by dogwoods and gorgeous pink cherry blossoms. In summer, butterfly bushes extend their bright branches, and the rosebuds open to reveal spectacular color. Fall has a splendor all its own at Travis Pointe, as the hardwoods show off the reds and golds of autumn.
